Used Curriculum Instructions
Thank you for your interest in selling at the Home School Fair's Used Curriculum Sale. These instructions are very easy to follow, and if done correctly, will make the sale run smoothly! I appreciate your help. In order to sell at the Fair you must have received an email confirmation from Carol Brown.
Please begin marking your books with the proper price tags. This is the method we have used previous years and no other book marking methods are accepted. Supplies for you to buy:

IT CANNOT BE ANY OTHER GLUE!

Please begin marking your books with the proper price tags. This is the method we have used previous years and no other book marking methods are accepted. Supplies for you to buy:
3 x 5 cards, enough for all your books - they will be cut in half. Jar of rubber cement.
IT CANNOT BE ANY OTHER GLUE!
Instructions:
- Cut the 3 x 5 cards in half. A half-card will be used for each book or item
- Write on the card the price of the book or item and your first and last name
- Do not use Sharpie markers as they bleed through the card and rubber cement and will stain the book.
- Important rules about book sets. Indicate on each book that it is part of a set, such as '1 of 4 books', '2 of 4 books', etc. Indicate a price on each card but say 'set price'. Rubber band the set together using a strong band. Books may be sold as a set or individually, but not both. You may not give a set price and an individual price. If you don't mind breaking up a set, please mark the books as individuals and do not label or band them together as a set.
- Each book MUST HAVE A CARD WITH A PRICE AND YOUR NAME or it will not be sold but given away.
- After cutting the cards and writing your name and the price, glue the card onto the inside front cover of the book. Do not put on the paper side, but on the left side on the backside of the cover. When you use rubber cement, we can pull the card off when the buyer brings it to us.
- If the item is not a book, then put the card where it will be most visible and will not ruin the item
- If you have free items, please mark them with a card labeled 'free' so we know that the item is to be given away and didn't just lose its card.
- Each item must have a card with your name and price or we will have no choice but to give it away as it would be impossible to determine where it came from and whose it is. Please mark all your items diligently!
On the day of the fair:

- Set up your book tables between 7:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. Please bring your books to the gym entrance for entry and setup. I will be there checking your books as they come in. Please bring a card table or any type of sturdy table. If you are attending the fair, you need to go to admissions and be checked in. Attendance is not needed to sell but please return to pickup your unsold books.
- By 2:45 p.m. all sellers need to retrieve any left over books. Please do not leave your unsold items for us to dispose of. Check-in with me when you pickup your unsold items and please look through any books that I may have which have lost their cards in case they belong to you.
- The system we use for tallying your sale amount is to add up all the cards pulled off the items for sales. Then we deduct a 10% fee for the Fair from your total sales and mail a check to you at the contract address for the balance by July 1. I also send the actual cards pulled off the books. It is very important you mark your books correctly paying special attention to your sets.
- Feel free to share tables but each person must have received their own confirmation to sell.
